What is your style of photography?
Modern, beautiful, candid, romantic, stylish and creative. My style is a blend of documentary-style photojournalism and traditional portraiture so you have a diverse collection of images you will love for years to come.
What gear do you use?
I am a Canon fan! I use a Canon 5d Mark II and a range of Canon lenses. I always have 2-3 cameras with me during weddings.
Are your packages flexible?
Yes, totally. Packages can be customized depending on your needs. The number of photos included is just a guideline and you will get a lot more photos than the guaranteed number. If you have an idea for props or destinations for your photo shoot please let me know. I will do my best to make your vision happen.
Photo shoots are casual and relaxed and I will help with poses if this is your first professional photo shoot. I don’t watch the clock so if your package is up to 3 hours and you need me for a little longer I am perfectly happy. Extra coverage at receptions is the only time I charge overtime.
What post-production do you do?
All images are fine-tuned for color and brightness and cropped if needed. Many images are artistically edited and retouched. A selected number of images are processed in black & white with color duplicates. Your DVD will contain large files for printing and duplicate small files for email/blogging.
Is hair and make-up included?
I prefer to work with Lisa Allen who is an amazing MUA, hair designer and fashion stylist from England. We have separate businesses so please contact her for a price. Her website is makeupartistphuket.com and she’s very busy so be sure to book in advance.
When can I get the photos?
I will deliver your photos to your resort if time allows. Otherwise photos will be posted via registered mail within 2-3 weeks. I will send you a sample of 3-4 photos within a few days because I know you can’t wait! And as soon as your online gallery is ready I will send you an email.
FAQ FOR BRIDES AND GROOMS
Do I need to pay a deposit?
A deposit of 10,000 baht is appreciated for weddings and can be paid via paypal or by bank transfer to Gina Smith, Siam Commercial Bank, 737-248780-9. Please pay in full before your wedding day. Other customers may pay on the day of the photo shoot.
Do you use a second photographer?
I use a second photographer/assistant for all weddings with over 20 guests. For weddings with less than 20 guests or special requests a second photographer is available.
Can we rent gowns and suits from you?
I have a small collection of wedding gowns (mostly size 10) or I can take you to Phuket Town to find a rental dress and suit. The cost starts at about 3,500 baht for the bride.
Do you organize weddings?
Yes, but only for small weddings with 4 guests or less. Otherwise I can recommend resorts and wedding planners who can plan your big day.
Can we have traditional portraits taken at our wedding?
After the ceremony I suggest the following: group shot, all family, bride’s family, groom’s family, all friends, bride and groom with parents. Then we go off for bridal party photos. There is plenty of time at the reception for other combinations but we can do more after the ceremony if you wish. If you have a large group please supply me with a list of the group shots you require.
What happens if you get sick or cannot attend the wedding?
I have a strong team of substitute photographers available in the unlikely case that I am unable to be there.
Do you photograph weddings around Thailand and overseas?
Yes, I love to travel and visit new places. If you are getting married in another part of Thailand add 12,000 baht to the package price. Please consider that I have to travel the day before your wedding and return the day after your wedding so including editing time I am spending around 5-6 days on your photos.
I am available for destination weddings anywhere in the world. Please contact me with details for a customized quote.
What extra services do you provide?
I like to meet with the bride and groom before the wedding day. We have a chat, run through the wedding schedule and get to know each other so you feel more relaxed with me on your big day. I can visit your resort or you can come to my home studio in Naiharn. I offer a free photo shoot at this time which is a great way for you to get comfortable being photographed and is a lot of fun too.
I am never too busy to answer your emails or have a chat on the phone. If you need info about getting married in Thailand or even travel around Thailand I am happy to help.
