GINA: My name is Gina and I am a freelance photographer from New Zealand. I am blessed to divide my time between Phuket, Thailand and Thames, New Zealand with my husband Tim and our beautiful sons Kingston and Anderson.
At university I studied newspaper journalism including courses in art and photography. I worked as a reporter and photographer on newspapers in New Zealand before heading overseas on a journey that has taken me around Europe, Asia and Canada.
Several years ago I launched a wedding planning business. The Romance Planners was started because so often I saw customers who would have benefited from having a wedding coordinator. Sometimes when I was photographing I wanted to jump in and deal with those problems that were often easy to solve but could escalate into chaos and stress if not fixed. And I had an extensive knowledge of vendors, venues and wedding day schedules after photographing hundreds of weddings from beginning to end. It was a natural business progression and has quickly become very successful. So life is busy but it’s all possible with the help and support of my family (see the blog under personal posts) and the super talented team (below and under the videographers link).
JARAN: I met Jaran many years ago while photographing a wedding on a remote island off Phuket.
Jaran is a lot of fun to work with, has endless energy and enthusiasm and and is a master with flash photography. Customers always comment about how relaxed they were during photo shoots with Jaran.
He is one of the best photographers in Phuket and his love of the art of photography shows in his work.
His hometown is Trang so he loves traveling to weddings and pre-wedding shoots in the Phang Nga, Krabi, Koh Samui and Koh Lanta areas. See the blog for examples of his beautiful work.
JIMMY: I met Jimmy at a villa wedding in 2009 and was impressed by the way he helped people feel comfortable in front of the camera.
His work is bright, colourful and his work has an edgy glamor. He is very experience in photographing wedding, bridal and family portraits and also has a great talent for fashion photography.
Last year he went into the temple and was a monk for 3 months. He officially joined the team after that and we are so excited to have Jimmy on the team!
