Tamsyn and Michael’s dream Marriott wedding was intimate, romantic and fun. They met in Sydney when Tamsyn was on a working holiday that turned into a new life once they fell in love and decided to get married.
The South African bride married the boy from Australia with friends and family attending from around the globe. “We choose Thailand because it’s sort of midway for my South African family and Michael’s Australian family. It also gave the families time to get to know each other,” said Tamsyn.
Everyone arrived to Marriott Merlin Beach Resort during the week before the wedding and the sightseeing, shopping, partying, reunions and celebrations began
The couple’s wedding planner, Annette from Travel Managers and Thai the Knot weddings, planned the perfect wedding day. Working with Annette is always great because she’s very organized, friendly, creative and ensures each wedding is unique and customized for the couples who come to Phuket for their weddings.
Pops of blue and purple were mixed with white for the ceremony flowers and decorations and also bridesmaids dresses. And in a nod to their countries they wrapped flags around the glasses of their sand pouring set. Hair and make-up was done by Lisa Allen who loved Tamsyn’s beautiful red hair.
Looking so beautiful, the bride was walked down the aisle by her father. And the ceremony by celebrant Jonathan was emotional and moving.

After the beautiful ceremony the candlelit reception began under a fairy light canopy. Later after dinner and the fire show everyone moved inside to continue the party ~ photography by Jaran.
