It’s school holidays for 2 long months so we’ve been exploring our not so little island of Phuket. Right on our doorstep is Wat Chalong, the biggest Buddhist temple in Phuket. Kington and I went by, delivered some photos to a monk from a wedding blessing there last year and said a few prayers.

It was a rainy, stormy day, still a very beautiful place all year around. The monk was smiling a lot when he saw the photos of himself blessing the bride & groom last November. I wonder how long he will stay there, maybe permanently.

I told Kingston that many years ago, before he existed, when I travelled I would print photos out for people during our travels. People appreciate it so much and are so surprised. We decided to try to do that during our trip to Bali next week. He said, “I’m going to do that and be like you mum.” And when I asked him what he prayed for he said to give thanks for our good life, new car and for Lisa when she goes to the dentist next week. So kind, so sweet.
