Elin and Nikolas and their sons travelled from Sweden to Khao Lak for a lovely wedding on the beach with their friends.
The girls stayed at a resort to get ready while the boys were nearby at Villa Mangosteen.
The Swedish minister came from Bangkok with his wife to conduct the ceremony. He sings, quite well, and plays the guitar which was wonderful. The ceremony was in Swedish language with hymns and prayers and very emotional words (I couldn’t understand, but could tell by the reaction from everyone). I really like the Swedish church minister who was so happy to be there and even joined in for the jump shot after the ceremony finished.
There is so much love in this family. Everyone is hugging and laughing all the time and you can see the bond between them all in the photos. Elin is very close to her sons and adores her husband. She was telling me she thought he looked so handsome right before the ceremony started.
Their friends live part of the year in Khao Lak due to their business. So their local connections helped make the holiday and wedding extra special. We did a first look at their villa then went to the beach for the wedding ceremony. To find that place I was surprised as it was a bit of a drive through the jungle and finally arriving at the beach where there’s a restaurant, elephant riding, surfers all around and quite a busy little community happening in the middle of somewhere.
The local restaurant set up a table for them on the sand for the wedding drinks and dinner. Such a rustic, charming place. Hope to go back there sometime with the kids for a mini break.
Elin and Nikolas booked the “We Are Married” 3 hour wedding photography package with 1 photographer/minimum of 150 high resolution images and had 1 hour complimentary added on ~ photography by Gina.
